short residence for art activists, and/or political artists.

This is a call for artists from all nationalities to apply for an intensive one week group residence at Artis Den Bosch, The Netherlands, (www.artisdenbosch.nl). We would like to receive applications of those artists who want to extent, explore or concentrate on the creative process, the production and /or the reflection of their work. During this residence it is envisaged that full engagement in different settings with society, peers, experts and the public is possible. Artists who wish to debate and reflect on their role in the nurturing of the diversity and the ideology in art activism and political art are also encouraged to apply.

This intensive residence will take place in and near the Dutch town of s-Hertogenbosch, and will be the overture to an exhibition which is planned from 16 January until 8 February 2010 in the 600 m2 space of Artis Den Bosch. This show will concentrate on the local artist Abel Heijkamp. (facebook.com ). Work from the residential week could be used by mutual agreement as complement, conjunct or juxtapose material.
