Kevin Donnot and Elise Gay, two young French graphic designers who are currently working at shift!, are organising a one-day workshop: TOOLING AROUND invites all graphic designers to challenge the use of the digital tools and to explore their transposition into our physical world. The workshop will take place on Saturday 26/06/10 at SystM gallery bar in Berlin-Mitte. Please contact toolingaround [at] free.fr for registration and further information.

How would you interpret the digital stamp tool manually?
What do you do with the magic wand on a piece of paper?
How could you apply the pipette to a real document?…

Today most graphic creation is produced with the same Adobe tools, on the same Apple computers. Tooling Around invites you, graphic designers from Berlin, to challenge the use of these digital tools and to explore together their transposition into our physical world.

During one day, this project is the rare opportunity to design and collaborate in a dedicated space. Our source material will be the things YOU designed, so bring your books, flyers, posters, albums… everything that can be cut and reused for this collective project!
This event will also take place in Paris in July and the result of both projects will be published.

Program:
12:00 Welcome of participating designers
13:00 Beginning of the collective creation
19:00 Opening of exhibition and party
