Met een opleiding Communicatievormgeving en de Master in Photographic Studies is Marieke Bijster (1980) continue op zoek naar de vertaling van beeld en beleving. Ze specialiseerde zich tijdens haar studie te Groningen in media en fotografie. Haar vaardigheid als zelfstandig fotograaf is sindsdien uitgebreid door een diversiteit aan opdrachten binnen beeldregie en -advies voor verschillende toonaangevende bedrijven, waar onder HollandseHoogte Nrc-Next en WorldPressPhoto.

Bad hair day - The keffiyeh (Arabic: كوفية, kūfīyä; plural: كوفيات, kūfīyāt) is a traditional headdress of Arab men, made of a square piece of cloth, usually cotton, folded and wrapped in various styles around the head. It is commonly found in arid climate areas to provide protection from direct sun exposure, as well as for occasional use in protecting the mouth and eyes from blown dust and sand. El HEMA foto panelen - 4 PM, 28/02/10, Mediamatic: Bardot Proviant Klub Exhibition, Amsterdam, It is cold and rainy. I park my bike against one of the glass showcases. Photo frames with pictures of people, who’s characteristic features I never seen before, catch my attention. Who are they and why are they here, in these little rooms of glass?
