The starting point for the project is the fact that the analog and digital are now so closely interwoven, and reflects upon the connections between the smallest (non-tangible digital code) and the largest (the experience of nature and natural phenomena).
Online residency
In partnership with Kunstverein Hamburg, MAMA introduces the innovative idea of the online residency. The online residency is intended for and focuses on a new generation of artists who use the Internet not only as a material, but also as the primary presentation platform for work and performances. MAMA and Kunstverein Hamburg are creating a temporary stage, which shall run on a 24/7 basis from 17 June at www.onlineresidency.com. Visitors to the online platform get a behind the scenes look at the work of the net artist. The first online resident presented by MAMA and Kunstverein Hamburg is the German artist Aram Bartholl.
