Esther Meijer is the creator and owner of Amsterdam-based fashion label Nieuw Jurk.
In her work Meijer uses fashion as a tool to draw attention to social issues like the influence of porn on society, social media and the financial crisis. She plays with body-image and gives a new perspective on shapes and sizes.
At Mediamatic she works as production manager on the project Fashion Machine of Conny Groenewegen, a larger than life installation that takes over the whole building in summer 2017.
