Gökçe Baykan has recently become a team member of Mediamatic as an exhibition intern. She has received her bachelor’s degree from Istanbul University as a Ministry of Education (TRNC) scholar and she is currently graduating from Comparative Arts & Media master’s program at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam as a European Union scholar – where she followed an interdisciplinary track with regards to exhibition design, heritage preservation, art criticism, media aesthetics, and transmedia storytelling. She wrote her thesis on the disappearance of conventional borders between still and moving images which are induced by the paradoxical status of media transmitted reality at the age of digitalization. She also has some practical experience with digital visual design and will be contributing to the realization of prospect projects.
