In 2022 Anouk Beckers worked at Mediamatic to develop the Costume Lab and a program for the Inhuman Carnival research project.
Anouk Beckers works as an independent fashion designer and researcher, based in Amsterdam. Anouk studied Social Psychology at Utrecht University and TxT (textiles) and Fashion at Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Her practice creates a context in which to explore the field of fashion collaboratively, challenging some of fashion’s core values, such as ownership, identity, originality and authenticity. Anouk initiated the open source modular clothing system JOIN Collective Clothes (2019) and a series of wearable fashion magazines Booklook (2022).
