Measuring NO3 level

In the aquaponic cycle, ammonia is converted to nitrite by nitrosomonas bacteria. When the nitrite level in the water reach a certain point, other bacteria, nitrobacter, convert nitrite to nitrate, which are less harmful to the fishes.
