In the spirit of Pride, Mediamatic is presenting an ode to a playground for self expression and identity in a fun and intimate setting. MediaMasquerade is a garment-based performance workshop designed for children and their parents by gender clown Taka-Taka and fashion designer Niki Milioni.
We invite kids from the age of 6 to explore the colors of your identity through the creative use of garments in this personalised and playful journey. The range of activities may include character building, costume-making and make-up, scenography, improvisation, voice expression and theatricality.
Taka and Niki provide an intimate 3 hours workshop which will be concluded with a celebratory performance by the participants.
During the workshop, we invite parents to come and taste our carefully designed drink-paring. Taste five different alcoholis drinks and a variety of vegan snacks while your children play.
Materials required for craft-making activities and make up are provided. You are welcome to bring your own materials if you would like.
