Five inspiring speakers kick off the conversation by painting their picture of a green and just future. After these introductions, you are invited to take an active role in imagining the world after a green and just transition. The main outcomes of the event are visualized by artist-anthropologist Kyra Sacks. The discussion will be moderated by Laura Burgers.
Laura Burgers

Usha Natarajan

Anouk Beckers
Anouk Beckers is an artist, designer and researcher based in Amsterdam. She presents her fashion design for Mediametic’s Inhuman Carnaval project. In her work she interrogates the current fashion system where fast fashion plays an important role.
Margarita Nieves
Margarita Nieves is a Colombian lawyer, PhD candidate at the University of Groningen and European Climate Pact Ambassador. With her academic research, she contributes to the fields of environmental governance and sustainability, with emphasis on the energy transition, and climate change regulation. She reflects in particular on what energy sources will dominate, what technologies will provide carbon neutral energy, and on how governments and corporations can bridge the gap between developed and developing economies.

Kyra Sacks is a visual artist and social anthropologist from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She works on both individual and collaborative artistic and ethnographic research projects, in which she strives to integrate art and social science in a way that makes pressing issues relatable and tangible.
