Mila Lanfermeijer

In her video installations, artist Mila Lanfermeijer researches the possibilities of combining light and surface. By investigating traditional painting techniques and the use of perspective, texture and placement of the subject, her work questions the relation between light and screen as paint and canvas. In a search for methods of self-depiction Mila’s installations become ‘studies for a self-portrait’ often showing personal portraits of people from her immediate surroundings.
