Bring new life to your loved ones! At the Textile Repair Cafe, we can help you breathe new life into your favorite clothes, bags, and textiles. Whether it's a hole, rip, missing button, or anything else in need of some love and attention, our skilled volunteers are happy to guide you through the repair process. You will save money by extending the life of your clothes, and reduce textile waste and contribute to a more sustainable future. Plus, you'll gain valuable skills for future repairs!
We offer services for:
Repairing clothes and bags:
- Mending tears, rips, and holes
- Replacing buttons, zippers, and snaps
- Resizing garments (taking in or letting out)
- Shortening hems or sleeves
- Repairing seams
- Replacing worn out linings or waistbands
- Darning socks or sweaters
Upcycling old textile items:
- Transforming old clothes into new garments
- Creating new accessories from scrap fabrics
- Adding embellishments or embroidery to existing clothes
- Repurposing old textiles for home decor
