Four days, seven people arriving from three different countries, no detailed schedule or agenda – and the goal to have a dinner concept ready by the end of the week. The project manager slash control freak in me was writhing in pain while trying to keep an overview of all the Covid test appointments that were required in order to make this experiment even happen.
The protagonists of our test/research/concept week: performance artist Martin Butler, multidisciplinary artist and cook Alice Héron, food designer Pauline Jacob, designer Magdalena Akantisz, jewelry designer Farah Qureshi as well as community-focused artists Aysha Iqbal Khan and Nadine Fletcher plus myself, Suzana Orsolic, assistant at the Neo Futurist Dinner
Luckily, everyone arrived safe and sound for an intense and intimate week that was not only full of sensory surprises, but also let us travel 1,000 years back in time to explore the secrets of the great Hildegard von Bingen, a German Benedictine abbess, composer, visionary, mystic, and much more.
